Dear Nick and Mal, (and staff),

How do we start to thank you for one of the most positive and exciting times in our lives so far.

The decision to purchase a Sleepy's store nearly five years ago now was not an easy one from memory. There is always a certain level of apprehension and uncertainty when embarking on a new adventure. As you know, we knew nothing about beds or even retail. Greg couldn’t wait to put the tools down and I was desperate to put the bank behind me.

When we sold the house, Greg was sorry to say goodbye to his garden, I was happy to get rid of it. When we said goodbye to my parents, I was very very sad, Greg was…very sad also.
We drove into Canberra mid July with the plan to take the bedding retailers by surprise. It was SO cold. Minus 5 the first night!

Well we took on the challenge to become the best bedding retailer in Canberra (we may have said the world at the time!) and we had the best 5 years of our lives. Thanks to Sleepy's we were able to do so many things we had only dreamed of. The hours were brilliant and we spent more time with the girls than we had ever been able to before. We went to the States with Mal and Sue…Thank you again and again and again for that!! We took the girls to Disneyland, Canada and Alaska. We could never have afforded either the time or the money before joining Sleepy's. We discovered skills we had that surprised us both.

In a nutshell, we both just want to say a heartfelt thankyou for giving us the opportunity in the first place. It is with mixed feelings that we have sold and move on. Ecstatic to have sold for so much! Sad to be leaving our baby! We leave here after the new owners training in a few days and wish you all the very best with him and the entire group.
Thank you again for your support and wonderful friendships and introducing us to Sleepy's.
