
Brooke made her debut for the Australian Swimming Team in 1994 before going on to represent Australia over 25 times at major international championships.
Her career highlight came in 2004, when, after missing two Olympic teams, she won Olympic gold and silver medals at Athens Olympic Games.
Brooke claimed several podium fi nishes throughout her career including the 2004 World Short Course Championships where she made history, winning a record six gold medals.
After 13 years as a member of the Australian swimming team Brooke joined the motivational speaking circuit with a behind the scene's insight of her journey to reaching her Olympic dream.
Since her retirement from competitive swimming Brooke released her autobiography "When Silver Is Gold" The Brooke Hanson Story and loves to share her inspirational story with everyone she meets.
Her television presenting on the TV Week Logie winning show "What's Good for You" earned her a nomination for best new female talent.
Brooke joined fellow presenter Tim Smith in 2010 for a new series of Discover Downunder, which showcased the best camping and caravanning holidays around Australia.
In 2009 Brooke became a mum to son Cooper and continues to balance her blooming professional media career with appearances, advertising campaigns and her commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for all Australians. Brooke is honoured to be the new face of Sleepy's The Mattress Experts and is looking forward to launching some exciting new collections.
